Behind Every Independent Warrior

At some point, people with high self-esteem are classified as people who are great pretenders. They act as a brave one who’ll face all the problems that might visit them. They’re being independent of following the ways they believe and think it should be. Asking for a help is not included in their life vocabulary and not even a fan of seeking for care and concerns.

On the other hand, this great pretenders are somewhat we can lean-on if we need a heart touching and ego striking advices. Believe it or not, they’re too good at giving advices especially when you ask them about real-life matters. Why? Because they don’t see things—problems, as real as it is. Instead they describe it as an adventure that must be experience or a game they aim to ace. From all their experiences they achieved many life lessons—their keys in every doors they want to open.

However, not all independent warriors got a high tolerance in facing their battles. Some of them tried to unbackle their shields, put down their swords and let the uncertainties pierce them—they lost their will to fight and once tried to quit. This are the times when they want to cry out loud and shout for help but their belief of “they see me as a strong and independent person, will they believe me? Are they willing to help?” so they end up keeping it within themselves.

Moreover, we must keep in mind that even an independent person needs a help. They may not voice it out because of stigma of being an open book—there’s the discrimination and bullying, but we should have the sensitivity in our environment. Let’s try to reach out, let’s do the first move of asking someone we knew—an independent one, if how they are. Remember, an independent person trust no one. So we better gain their trust and keep it like a fragile glass that once you break it, you’ll never bring it back from its original feature.

Let’s spread a mental health awareness and help someone who’s suffering from brokenness, anxiety, burnout and depression.
